Airshow at Dobbins Air Reserve Base

The 2010 Wings over Atlanta Airshow was held on October 16-17 over clear, crisp skies at Dobbins Air Reserve Base, featuring the U.S. Navy Blue Angels and Canadian Snowbirds among other performers, historical aircraft, and fairground foods. Impressive aerobatic acts with different formations and tight configurations with aircraft merely few feet from each other put the spectators in awe.

"Snowmaggedon" in Atlanta

While merely 6 inches of snow would simply be shrugged off in the northeast, it brought halt to Atlanta and the rest of the Southeast that were poorly equipped to deal with the snow and ice at the start of the 2011 year. Grocery store shelves became barren even before the storm stroke, and the city almost became deserted as most people decided to stay in. This provided great opportunities to take photos at night. I grabbed my Nikon, and held it close to my chest as I treaded on ice carefully, only daring to hold it out to take photos.

MomoCon Atlanta 2011

Strange sights were seen in Technology Square of the Georgia Tech campus on a sunny March weekend. Characters from cartoons, anime, movies, and games came to life as cosplayers from across the nation participated in MomoCon 2011. I could only recognize a handful. Many were pretty eccentric indeed.

Alpha Phi Omega Formal

To celebrate another semester of community service, the Gamma Zeta chapter of Alpha Phi Omega fraternity held a formal at the end of April, involving food, games, prizes, and of course, music. Members and their friends brought out their fancy attire to laugh the night away.
